Most modern systems come with temp sensors built in.

Download HW monitor this show most temps on the system, I use this a lot.

Hi there,

If you are looking for accurate temperatures of your CPU and GPU, Coretemp and GPU-Z are what you need, they use the in-built temp sensors on the components.

HWMonitor also gives you loads of temp information on your components.

lovely cheers i'll download it when i get back (assuming its free)

i was thinking of buying a fan controller too, any idea if they come with there own sensors of do they somehow use the existing ones ?

thanks again :D

Prime 95 or Intel Burn Test to check for stability, both are free.

What SSD are you looking at getting, I'm running a OCZ vortex 2 60gb :)

HWMonitor is spot on and im not too sure what settings to run Prime95 on

Real Temp is by far the best for it.

lol, ambient temperature 5C.

It gets lower than this, also I messed up with the CPU thermal sensor, only 2 lowly 800RPM fans are working right now because the others were hit by lightning. I'm waiting for 5 Gentle Typhoons 1850RPM. I will leave an update as soon as the fans arrive.
