Temperature sensors

i presume your talking about wire type rather than water temp ?

if so it depends what you want to take the temp reading of
ive got one on my ram heat-sink .one in free air and another on my cpu heat-sink
they can be pushed into place or stuck down with the bits of tape that come with them or even loosely tide to a suitable object

Thanks for reply. Yes, it is the tape type coming from a card reader with fan controller and temp readings. I want to put one on the cpu and one on the graphins card. I have read that some people put the cpu one in between the pins as they install the cpu. Others on the cpu before they put on the paste and others like yourself put it on the heatsink. I was wondering what the best way is to get the best readings and what to measure i.e. battom of cpu, top of cpu or heatsink?

I have two so I thought the other would go on the card. But I don't know where to get the best readings.

for gods sake dont put it in the cpu pins theres a high chance of damaging your cpu ,
and if you put it between your cpu and heatsink the heatsink will not sit correctly and your temps will be high
just experiment will different places on the heat sink ,ive found in the correct spot it reads within 1 to 2 degs of the bios readings
