Hi all,

With the heatwave in England at the minute I thought it might be an idea to actually keep note of the temperatures inside my PC - I downloaded Everest which allows me to put various temperatures for different things on my notification tray.

Though something doesn't make sense to me - my computer can be turned off for 2-3 days and none of the temperature sensors are the same value when I turn my pc on from cold. I'd expect all the sensors to drop to or atleast near room temperature after such a long period.

The following are examples of the temperature reading directly after starting up after been switched off for 18~ hours.

Mobo: 30C
CPU: 48C
Aux: 45C
GPU: 48C
HDD1: 19C
HDD2: 24C

The room temperature is around 20C - seems odd to me the sensors can read temperatures that high above room temperature after such a short period of my PC being on... is this normal?

Thank,
Ryan.

My computer takes all of 3-4 minutes to start-up - if that, just struck me as odd they could reach those temperatures that quickly.

They also start out at those temperatures if I wake my computer from sleep, which didn't seem right to me either?

Well I've been on the computer just browsing the web for abit and the temps are currently saying;

mobo: 34
cpu: 43
aux: 37
gpu: 51
hdd1: 24
hdd2: 29

Thanks.

I'm just using the stock cooler on both the CPU and GPU, I moved everything into a new case a few weeks ago so had a good clean out then. :(

I didn't monitor them before haha :/ I only started checking them recently as walking into any room in my house felt like walking into an oven during the heatwave!
