Temperatures okay?

Moved from a k2 mount doom 4.7GHz v1.37-4 to 4.8GHz v1.4-44 custom water loop direct die mount with a monsta 240 and ek-supremacy.

Temperatures are after a good match of Crysis 3, and I'm noticing way more fluctuation in temperatures. I don't think the loop has settled yet, wondering if I should re-seat the block?

I guess I'm quite happy with these temps, but if I could get the more in-line and a tad lower I'd be happy. :)

You are putting a whole chunk of voltage through that! I can't really comment on how hot the Ivybridge chips get as I don't have one, but in my nehalem, I'll hit 60-70c if I chuck 1.4V through it.

I would clock it back down to what you had before (4.7GHz v1.37-4) to make a comparison to your previous air setup on the K2.

At that temperature and under water, the volts should be fine? They reach 1.44 under peak load but usually 1.4 when I game.

Both are fine - but I'm just trying to say (probably not very well!) that the higher that expected temps are probably because of the increased volts

With temps like that it makes me want to go direct die cooling. You might be able to even out those temps if you lapped your block but frankly it's not worth it.

Oh right haha. I'll pick up another AP-15 soon and set up push pull on my monsta rad and see if reseating the block helps even temps out. Cheers guys! :)

How did you go about fitting the waterblock to back onto the CPU? Did you use special spacers to avoid crushing the die itself?
