Good evening all,

thank you in advance for your help.

I have recently swapped my pc case and am now not sure if the pc is running too hot.

I play a lot of iracing and can spend 3-4 hours in session.

My pc spec is as follow:

CPU - Intel i7 950 @ 3.05GHz
Ram- 12.0 GB Triple channel @ 533MHz
Motherboard - Asus Rampage extreme III (LGA1366)
Graphic- GeForce GTX 1070
CPU cooler - Coolit Eco ALC
4 x 120mm fans up front
1x 120mm fan in rear
1x 120mm fan in top attached to Coolit Eco ALC radiator

when I am just browsing the web, listening to music etc, the temps as per speccy are as follows:

CPU- 50 degrees c
Motherboard -- 46 degrees c
Graphic card - 49 degrees c

after a gaming session the temps rise to as follows:

CPU - 71-72 degrees c
Motherboard - 59-60 degrees c
Graphics card - 67 degrees c

my pc crashed the other day mid gaming, it was a very hot day and the room was hot, I am wondering if it crashed because of pc temps? It hasn't done it again since

do the above temps look excessive? what is an ideal running temp when gaming?

thanks again

regards

Matt

Thanks everyone for your replies.

A little update:
All components in the pc, fans, filters are all free front dust. I ran the pc last night without the side panel on and the temps dropped around 1 degree.

With some fans going in the room last night the room temperature was 29 degrees c.

Would adding any extra fans to the case help cool it a bit more?
