I'm currently down to two cases. Either the 900D - which I love the look of or the NZXT Elite, as it goes quite well with my monitor and peripheral setup.

Modern cases all come with tempered glass these days and to be honest, it looks beautiful. Has anyone got any experience with ordering tempered glass to fit a 900d? Any suggestions are appreciated.

You can get tempered glass cut to size easily enough. It's finding an appropriate mounting mechanism that's the challenge. How are you with CAD and do you have access to a 3D printer?

The Elite would be a lot less hassle.

Neither unfortunately, I was hoping I could get a company to cut it for me, etc. I couldn't do that myself haha.

You can order tempered glass cut to size. The problem is finding a way to attach it to the case, since you can't drill holes in it.

You could maybe reuse the existing mounting hardware from the 900D given it has an acrylic window already. But that's a definite "maybe". It would be infinitely more sensible to just buy an alternative.

I have local glazier/glass shop
Rather than my totally inept attempt at cad drawing
I just took side panel there few years ago
they had all the gear needed~though was a big shop not all of them might have same facilities
But as said its how to attach it
Double sided tape
Glue~flexible stuff though
Silicone
Are some methods
But depends how the acrylic panel was fixed on some have a raised channel ~probably wrong word there can't think what to call it
Whether it looks good
Or a bit off

Just had a look at some pictures and it looks like good new/bad news to me.

The good: the acrylic window is mounted to the inside of a removable side panel, with some overlap. It's screwed in place, so should be easy to remove. You can take the acrylic to a local glazier (or send photos and measurements to an online one) to get something cut to the same dimensions.

The bad: it's screwed in place. You can't screw TG in place. It's likely there are screw holes protruding from the back of the side panel. These will need to be removed. Then you can tape the glass in to place.

It shouldn't be a major job really. There are two big wins here; the acrylic is mounted to a frame (meaning you don't need to design a way to mount the glass to the case frame) and it's mounted on the inside (meaning you don't need to do a particularly tidy job of mounting the glass; any mess is hidden). So as far as TG mods go, it's on the easier end. But it still requires some DIY. In terms of equipment, you'll need a dremel, a screwdriver and some double sided tape.
