Tempest-like Game?

Hi,

I am feeling in the mood for some retro Tempest action. Does anybody know of any recent (or semi-recent) clones or games in a similar vain? (E.g., played from a similar perspective to that of Tempest).

Used to love this in the arcades when I was a lad ... not aware of any modern clones or somesuch, but if you use Google's Chrome browser, you can play Tempest directly in it:

My fav Tempest clone is Typhoon 2001. It's a remake of the Atari Jaguar version of Tempest 2000 (which is fantastic) -

If you are looking for something a bit different, Space Giraffe (by the legendary Jeff Minter) is worth a go. It's available on Steam... the visuals and sound follow the traditional Llamasoft style

Audiosurf looks similar to the above two titles, so thats my reccomendation.
