Temporary car (Warning: Contains fail)

Words fail me. OP: you realise that you can get cars for almost nothing from auctions which would be better than that?

I just dont get it, i really wouldnt have wanted to pay for a car like that. Ebay is a joke for cheap cars, i always use it when i need rid of a nail and always get similar strong money to this for them.

Gotta say, I don't understand this one at all. And I thought you said the ZS was some uber reliable machine that never broke down :p

I know I like my old Rovers but they have to look at least half decent.

Epicmatfail :o

A lot of people completely miss the point of dirt cheap and dog ugly (But legal) motoring.

That is not legal motoring. I got a PG9 on a mk1 escort with external rust nowhere near as bad. If he meets a traffic policeman a similar thing could easily happen - an current MOT isn't a guarantee that your car is legal.

I better go fill in the holes then :p

Seriously, it was the cheapest thing I could get taxed and tested at the time, and don't worry, it'll be getting a good send off with pics

I keep getting the cars because I know how to fix them. I came across a couple of hundred, needed a nail and it was there. If something went wrong with a cheap Primera or Escort, I wouldn't have a clue, but (sadly) with these it's second nature now.

The ZS was mega reliable until I started running silly boost and upping the fuelling to pretty high levels, so it is kind of my fault I guess. :o

Bigger intercooler and turbo needed to keep those intake temps down!

I think usually you pay people to take that away, can't believe someone was cheeky enough to ask for money in exchange.

Look forward to your 'send off'!

Loving the icing on the top lol, grab a cherry and its complete!
Gotta love old rovers. You even got a the obligatory shunted door aswell.
I used to have a mk3 escort pop that had shafted doors and a poorley fitted front valence, drove like a dog, steering was heavy, sure it was not supposed to be stone dead heavy but it worked and did the job until I wrote it off. I really wanted to tidy it up but just couldnt track down spare panels for it.

Haha, sorry bro, didn't mean it like that! I've been stuck in a 140bhp car for awhile now...

Sorry to derail abit, and I agree on the car as doing its basic job, but don't you call yourself in another thread 'elite', yet you have a 140hp car:confused:

As said, I can't believe you actually paid money for that.

My parents just sold their 1996 Toyota Carina, lovingly owned from new with 90k miles for £350 in the local paper.

I'm not against bangernomics, but the point is you don't need to drive around in something that looks that bad if you have a few hundred quid.

In all honesty I'd be ashamed to have that parked outside my house :(

You need to cover it in performance car stickers, drill a few (extra?) holes in the exhaust to give it a performance sound and you'll get much respect from all the b-boy-racers :)

Maybe some red/black seat covers to make it look even sportier? Some toilet rolls stuck together and wrapped in aluminium foil for a fake roll cage... am I getting carried away?
