Temporary CPU question - should i?

Been offered an i3 2120 for £78 delivered, brand new, retail. I've just bought a new system ready for Ivy but obviously have no CPU.

So, is it worth getting the i3 so that I can use new system and sell the current one, whilst also giving me the freedom not to have to buy Ivy at launch? Perhaps Ivy prices might take a month or so to settle down?

Or should I just wait until Ivy launches and then get Sandy / Ivy quad?

That was the other option, a g530 for £30...

Having seen the Ivy heat issues perhaps I should cancel my z77 motherboard and go for S2011 instead.

Yeah, but it is a bit more expensive than a quad and cheap z77 board.

That is always an option. And with some z77 boards being so reasonable it is a good value option.
