Just wondering what peoples views with temporary internet files.

I've just done a clean install of XP and noticed that when I load webpages up they seem to be quicker and not pound my hd when loading images and scripts. Is it best not to have temp internet files stored on the pc and, if not how do I turn this feature off?

Cheers for any help.

Depends on your point of view. I leave my TIF alone and when they get to about 16.000 files I run Window Washer and this gets rid of the lot. Remember , everything you see on line is stored in TIF , so it's still there when you come off line . So ,if there is anything you need to view or print out , or capture an image it's easly done from this folder.
