So my Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA has been shipped back to whence it came for an RMA. I have no idea how long it will take to get back from there, to OCuk and then back here...

So for the meantime, any suggestions on another mobo? Budget probably ... £80 tops.

Intel Core 2 Duo E2140
GeiL 2GB PC2-5300
BFG GeForce 8800 GT 512MB
Samsung SpinPoint S 250GB SATA-II

I'm not an expert on mobos, and I don't intend on recommending a specific one but Asus, Abit, and Gigabyte tend to be the main players, although I hear people complaining about Asus mobos the least (as I think some Gigabyte mobos have memory issues and not all Abit mobos like the whole overclockin idea).

Thing that caught my eye was that if you're willing to pay up to £80 for a temporary mobo, you can probably get a lot better mobo than that Asrock one, because last time i looked they weren't too expensive, and then just use the new one permanently.

The Gigabyte P31 based motherboard seems like a good option and comes in at around £50, it isn't the most feature rich option in the World but some people have been getting very decent clocks from it.

Although as closeratio says you might be as well simply replacing the ASRock motherboard, the new motherboard is likely to be better than it anyway.

Thanks. I'm not after anything feature-rich to be honest, so long as it's a good stable mobo then I'm happy.

Edit: Yeah, I had those intentions. Then I can spare the RMA mobo, should I ever need it.
