Hi there,
Quite a wierd question, but im trying to find the most inexpensive solution.
I have an old PC that i wanted to experiment with, installing Linux etc.
The problem i have is that I don't have a monitor for it, and only have a laptop.
I want to somehow link the PC temporarily to enable booting and installing - until later, when i can perhaps log into it via Networking.
My Laptop has an S-Video socket i believe, but the old PC has no compatible video inputs, nor do i own a S-Video cable etc, so this option is doomed, unless i buy some equipment.
I have a portable tv with video input, but yet again, the PC lacks any real video connection other than VGA socket.
Is there a way so somehow get my laptop to act as a temporary monitor, or must I buy a monitor to use very little?
Any useful ideas would be appreciated.
Wilf
