Hi Guys,

Just thinking about asking a question, I work for an Architectural Firm and we are currently experiencing an Issue with users who have frequent requires for the Autodesk Revit Program.

It seems from what I am able to ascertain that Revit likes to 1. Save Temps to %Temp% whilst also, creating a separate repository in a similar way to the way Windows Page file works while also using high system memory.

While the Page file similarity and system memory isn't an issue, We do have an issue with %Temp%

It seems that Revit isn't automatically clearing out the REVITTEMP files which are found in here - yesterday I had an alarming amount 6-7 hours worth of managed to create over 50-60gb's worth of Temporary files which eventually caused C: to run out of disk space and cause revit to crash forcing users to restart there pc's.

Now, my question is - Obviously I could just create a VBS script to allow me to clear out "REVITTEMP" Id's with X Date stamp on a scheduled basis.

But I would like to know if anyone has experienced anything similar in the past?

Thanks,

Ryan.

had a similair issue when I migrated SAP Business Objects from v2 to v4 and the migration tool failed and SAP were useless. After running ProcMon I worked out the migration tool was eating up the temp directory - so to overcome this I moved the temp folder over to another drive and no problems with the migration

So you could move it to another folder, or delete files as you stated.
