Seems a little high to me. My x6800 with AC7Pro idles at about 40C, mid-50s under load, although this can push higher under Orthos, S&M, etc. However I did lap the base of my AC7, and used Arctic Silver TIM. It seems the x6800 tends to run a little hotter, but mid 50s to high 60s doesn't sound so great.

I've also pushed my FSB to 310*11 to get 3.4GHz, with 1.375v vCore, 2.0v DDR, and 1.55v MCH. I think you should be a little cooler at stock with no o/c.

thanks for the reply, what temp app are you using? im using coretemp ATM,are there any better ones out there jest in case its not reading my temps as it sould

seems a tad high, but using coretemp your getting a more accurite reading - so to be honest its not THAT hot, maybe just take of the AC7, clean it up - but on some more thermal paste and carefuly but it back on :) should be fine

I use CoreTemp when I'm testing, and I leave the uGuru on the desktop on a high transparency setting.

I couldn't agree more, it won't take all that long. Get yourself some TIM remover and give the base of the cooler a good clean - same goes for the cpu - and don't cake on the TIM when you're putting it all back together ;) a small bead of it will do nicely.
