Temps ok?

Overclocking Q6600...Log

Rig is

Q6600 G0, Noctua NH-U12F (&MX-2), P35C-Ds3R, MSI 8800GT, Corsair 520, Seagate 7200.10, OCZ Pc6400 stuff...

Went to 3ghz and kept the memory timings pretty slack for now. I'll work on those after the CPU.

Running nice and cool only done 10mins prime95. I'm just seeing what i can do with SuperPI and when i'm happy with the overclock i'll tighten up the memory and run an overnight Prime.

Prime at the moment doesn't put the cpu above 45* (Only 10mins though.)

that is one very low VID you have on that CPU should clock nicely!

Idle temps look fine but is really the load temps you want to see... would use Prime95 and make sure you enable round off checking in the advanced menu

Hmm i'm not sure if the Vid is correct. It may be something to do with me forgetting to uncheck Speedstep.

Is it EIST?

Cofty, That is an extremely low VID (1.1625) (Nice low idle temps as well). Look forward to your update.

that VID is fairly normal I get less than that sometimes, when running idle.

but it's not too high.
