temps ok?

73-75 on full load with a q6600.

i just got my new sig and want to keep it!

is 70C considerd the point that is acceptable with a quad core? or the point where it starts to get dangerous.

at the moment my Q6600 is probably a few degrees hotter, but that is with the stock cooler, while i wait for the postman.. Personally i dont have a problem with that temp cause it never gets that hot while in game. And the reason for getting a new cooler is to get a higher OC. As long as it is stable, i think its acceptable.

btw, what cooler are you using?

what vcore ?
my Q6600 at 3.2 with 1.4 vcore gets to 70 with the intel burn test
or about mid 60s with prime.

what stress tester are you using ?

If you are stressing that with Prime Small FFTs then those temps at that clock are fine, unless you are using a lot of vcore 1.5v+ and i would only worry then if I was loading the CPU 24/7 (folding for example)

its at 1.4125 vcore and im using prime95
