Running at 50C idle, 60+ (TAT) under load and it seems to jump about 5 or 10 degrees instantly when I put it under load.. not happy
Current config:
E6400 @ 320fsb, 1.45v
Thermalright MST-9775 using AS3
DS4
The odd thing about it is that I can put my hand under the HSF and touch the CPU block without any pain whatsoever. I don't think the block itself is getting above 20-30 degrees when TAT is saying "hi 60C"
Im guessing TAT is lying to me (speedfan says 30 degrees idle, then jumps suddenly to 50C at load wtf), or perhaps the CPU needs a little lapping?
I don't really fancy lapping the cpu unless it definitely is that, so does anyone have any other suggestions?
Cheers

Just wanted to point that out, might explain the heat a little. Also remember that TAT reads the core's temperature inside the CPU, just because the heatsink isn't 70c under load doesn't mean inside the CPU itself isn't, as the heat will diserpate fast when coming down from that temperature to a case which is probably in the 30's.
