temps on e8400

temperature on my x38dq6 in bios range from 18-22,yet with core temp they show 52 all the time,does not even fluctuate,says its a wolfdale,but only with 1 core.i have latest bios f7.is there any other decent tools that show correct temps that are reliable,thanks

Get Speedfan Beta 38, that's supposed to be right.

I guess you're using a P35 chipset board?

I'm getting 50+ at idle when in stock too, with an E8500. on a P35 board. i know this isn't right because when clocked to 4Ghz it reads 80, but the hsf base is relitively cool to touch. I don't thinks its the software thats the issue, its the sensors on the boards as my tuniq fan is running at 100% constantly. I'm hoping someone knows of a fix for this.

Somethinks amiss, my E8500 on load will rocket into the low 70`s 9.5 x 450 (coretemp !!) , and yet the cpu cooler is ice cold to touch

temps still only 23 max in easy tune pro at 3.6 400x9.heatpipe system quite warm to touch though.dont know how accurate easy tune is on x38dq6,who else has temps to good to be true

Try using core temp, thats the program most overclockers on this site will use and trust.
