Temps on the 3.8 OC Bundle

I've bought the 3.8ghz overclocked i7 920 bundle and set it up today - running Prime 95 I'm seeing temps at a high of 81 degrees - is this ok for this setup or is it too high? I followed the examples here on how to setup the heatsink etc.

thats fine mate for 3.8ghz clock it drop when weather gets cooler as long as it doesnt climb anymore

Your temps are high but within tolerance (the i7's run hot) - and prime95 will stress the chip way more than any game will so it wont be running at those temps all the time even with heavy use.

I would suggest you check your voltages for the overclock – but as it’s a pre-clocked system you’re probably better off reseating your HS and hoping that you get a better connection if you're concerned.

What software are you using to monitor your temps?
