Still need to do some research as I'm not really ready to go from a Antec 1200 to a Mini ITX system. That and I don't really need more than a GFX card if I wanted to upgrade my current system. Might be able to sell the current one though.

PSU is overkill, Ram might not be the best choice wanted some low profile stuff like the samsung really. I'll likely add a 256 gig ssd also.

I'm fed up of the size of the Antec 1200 and the amount of fans. Either going for something like this, or getting a real watercooleded system.

i7 isnt even really needed, well i do use vmware i guess

If you can afford an i7 get it! O_o i did and tbh im glad i did. If not save the £££ and put it towards some decent RAM as you use VM, all ITX boards can only take two sticks so you may want to get two 8GB sticks (depending how many VM's you run at any one time) or two high end 4GB sticks.

I run multiple VM's on mine and i have 8GB samsung green and an i7 and can run 3 machines fine ;)

You might want to take 5 mins and read THIS, also my prodigy build log, should help clear some things up for you ;)

Just be careful, that ASrock board has the socket close the the PCI-E slot, making it impossible to have a big heat sink cooler and a GPU. The asus doesn't have that problem.

Just an idea at the moment, I can make it happen just still trying to justify it to myself. I'm away from home a lot now so it would be better spent on a laptop which is vaguely capable of playing games.

Thanks for the suggestions, this is all because I have a new screen on the way and think my 6950 isn't fully up to the task.

NT06-e fits and you can mount a 120mm fan on top or a 10mm x 120mm slim fan underneath (Ram gets in the way of a full size one)

Others have fitted the apx-140 which just about covers the whole board.

im leaning to a new gpu, and atx case with a move to watercooling.

Using the idea of a smaller pc for my SB chip if / when i decide to upgrade.

So kinda on hold for the moment. My monitor is here within a day or three, more planning then.
