Tempted by Gothic 4 - suggestions?

Apologies, I some ways I realise that this is rehashing an old thread however as its on sale I figured it wouldnt be the end of the world.

As I understand it Gothic 4 is **** before you apply the community patch at which point it becomes pretty epic. Is my understanding correct?

Having said the above I still havn't got skyrim yet so I suppose the "Why have burger when you can have steak" argument should apply What can I say? Im a sucker for a sale

You can't really compare G4 to Skyrim as they are two completely different games, I love them both.

Since when does Gothic 4 have a community patch?, it's a dire game and always have been. Gothic 3 has a community patch that makes it pretty epic
