tempted by noctua 4080

I'd spend a few pesos more and get a 4090FE, especially coming from a 3090.

They're already very quiet, and will last you longer than a 4080.

Plus in my opinion look and are built better.

Doesn't sound all that for the money. Wouldn't you be better off just undervolting/power limiting a normal card?

"Our apples-to-apples cooler comparison test confirms that the ASUS Noctua heatsink with eight heatpipes is a really good design that tops our charts. However, the differences are really small. The MSI RTX 4080 Suprim actually ends up slightly better in that test, and the ASUS STRIX is really close, too. These results prove that there is no magic here, the heatsink is excellent, but other companies could build something comparable, it's not impossible. The ASUS RTX 4080 Noctua isn't just a good heatsink though, it also has good fan settings that are optimized for low noise levels. What's also very important is that the GPU is running close to its maximum efficiency point, with reasonable clock/power and voltage settings. While other cards run at higher voltage and power limit to eke out the last bits of performance from RTX 4080, ASUS focused on efficiency with their card, which makes perfect sense."

its 1300 think its worth from 3090 at 1440p?
30% faster for 1300? Not a great deal that, no.
