I've only just started using Temu and quite impressed, everything I've ordered has come withing 5 days and of course quite cheap compared to Amazon etc.

I've always ordered off the website but the APP is a PITA with constant free gifts etc.
Has anybody here actually claimed these free gifts?
eg It asked me to choose 6 items that totaled about £247 but then asked me to choose an item/items totaling over £20 and those free gifts would be mine.
Has anybody done this with any success?
Or if you have was there any comeback?

Use the Web and you get none of that.

Are you seriously going to be using lights you bought on Temu at a public venue? You have no idea if they’ve used substandard wire size, whether they’re insulated or earthed properly, if they’re even wired properly or if the plastics have the right temperature or fire rating for stuff like that. You must be out of your mind pal!

Whatever Pal, I even have a Chinese phone, what do you say about that :)
In fact we have a lot of stuff in our house with Made In China on it.
Not dead yet Pal.

That explains a lot.

I've tried many times on here to explain how the Italians made us send out crap.
It got to the point where all the guys in the Lab got the Italian bosses to sign sheets saying they had allowed this rubbish to go to the public.
I walked in the Lab one day and the two Gas Registered colleagues were at their desks in a bad mood. I wasn't an expert on gas but we used to push air through and it had to reach a certain bar (?) and we had a minimum figure, let's say 22, the Italians came in and said the minimum can now be 10. This is one of the reasons since 2007 on these forums I have advised against Creda/Hotpoint/Merloni/Ariston/Belling etc.
I was still warning against them in 2022 - https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...-washer-dryer-freezer.18957270/#post-35780071
We did try.

Put it this way, if I had a choice of domestic appliances from Temu or the makes above I would choose Temu.

You've misunderstood his point if you think it's just about whether something was made in China or not

No I haven't, I know all about what he's on about, like I say for 27 years I was a Quality Audit Technician in a major Domestic Appliance Factory so we had to be at the forefront of all those quality specs etc even though the Italians tried to erode them.
However sometimes you've got to relax a bit, my bass player is over the moon with the new lights and he said he's had them running for over 10 hours while he sets up new displays with his lighting mixer.
He also has one of those proper PAT Testing devices because he used to do it for a living and they are OK on that (yes I know it can pass PAT tests but still be crap).

I'm now pee'd off because I've just ordered 3 items:

1) I now have to have a £15 minimum, I didn't with the first 5 items I bought I just added £2 for postage.
2) It's Mar 14 today and delivery is Mar 26 when I'm in the IOW.

So why did your replies not address the actual point he's making then, just seems odd

I did and mentioned in post 42 what I did for 27 years so know all about those CE marks etc, I lived with them every day.
To be honest I don't give a toss, if my bass player wants to buy some Temu lights and he trusts them I'm happy.
Pointless debating it.

Would I put a load of Temu lights up in my house? - no.

I've bought a fair few bits off Temu. The quality has been spectacularly crap on every single item, but my expectations are exactly that - junk.

Here's a good example, you might not see it how I can but the Temu stand on the right cost £6.50 and to be honest I can't trust that gear to stay on it where the one on the left is from Amazon for £10 more and solid.
That stand will be placed at the right hand side of me on stage for access.
One of the things I've just ordered is a flat tray to go on that left stand for the ToneX guitar pedal.
I'll use the Temu stand for something else.

The biggest problem is everything on Temu looks much bigger than the item actually is

I said I had an example of Temu size.
My daughter bought this to have a laugh with her Mother when I asked for a nice guitar rug in front of the fire.
She thought it was going to be much bigger :)

But has anybody done what the OP was asking for :)

Has anybody here actually claimed these free gifts?

This is Temu nonsense.

I have ordered 3 items and had confirmation, I then get this email about an hour ago saying my payment will be returned as credit.
What makes me think the item is out of stock is lower down it shows me the product but it's actually another offer and nothing to do with returning a payment.
