Completely agree, what really ****** me off this morning were the two idiots on sofa steadfastly refusing to actually listen to what he was saying and just trying to get a sound bite or contentious statement that would win them their prize at the press awards (unfortunately this seems to be the trend in the BBC)

He forgot the 11th commandment.

It could, yes. However, I'm not willing to give it up unless everyone else will do the same. I will be part of society's revolution but I will not be a scapegoat for the current version of it.Nice car.
The money from it's sale could feed a dozen good, decent Africans for a good few months.
Perhaps a redress is in order.

If someone came to me and said they needed help, I would do what I can to help them. The numbers in my bank account are less important than someone not eating.I'm pretty sure that's how the companies feel too.
It's pointless to think about how society should operate within the cruel limitations of it's current form.Bit hypocritical to inflict that stigma on others then isn't it?
No. If someone stole from me and it was to feed their family, I would simply tell them to ask next time. I would be more than happy to help out. However, if 1,000 people hear this, turn up on my doorstep, I simply do not have the resources to help feed them all. I can help, but cannot provide. The sum of corporate globalisation is in a far better position to be able to "help" in a way they will barely notice. So what you're basically saying is if your starving it's ok to steal just so long as it's not from me.
Thanks for clearing that one up![]()

I would take a more logical and beneficial approach. If I were to feed all of those people, I mightn't have anything left. That puts me in a similar situation. At that point I'd be best off using my resources to gather the appropriate attention to the situation and request help from others. Once the "others" have been established, I would make my contribution. So what happens if 200 people come to ask you for food, you going to sale everything to feed them?

I make charitable donations, yes. Do I physically help out? No, but that's because I'm generally useless. So have you done that then.. Are you a fund-raiser for a charity and do stuff every month for them?
