I think I know who it is, it’s the tenants of one of the two flats that always have overflowing bins. Plus fly tip crap. There’s only 8 people in the flats and they produce more rubbish than my colleague who lives in a house of 8.
On the way to work I put my bag of rubbish in the bin and noticed a load of loose rubbish in there, which wasn’t mine. Didn’t have time to check the full extent of the contents. One of the things was some work boots. Clearly not mine and some colouring pencils.
These tenants have a history of fly tipping and leaving the area in a mess! They have been warned by the housing association countless times. They don’t learn.
Council won’t pick up fly tipping as it’s oh private ground. Have moved a few flytips in the past to go onto the pavement. Bingo! It’s collected! But the fly tipping now is big, heavy and bulky.
Back in the late summer, after our bins were emptied - we had strong winds and blew bins all over the place. I had to pick one up as it was blocking the road. A week later, the tenant said to me don’t touch my bin. I wasn’t going to get my car damaged by the bin or damage the bin.
A couple of weeks later I had a visit from the police saying I been messing around with these tenants’ bins! Absolute BS. Told police that I just picked up a bin as blocking the road and history of the tenants’ ASB. The police went round to say that please stop the overreacting and they wouldn’t be talking to them if you kept the area tidy.
Got no other place to store my wheelie bin.
It’s making me worried that making me feel sick. Im going on holiday later this month and these tenants are going to take advantage and **** take of using my bin,
Using someone’s bin without permission is classed as fly tipping.
What do I do? Probably scour the rubbish (with my wombling gear) to seek out any personal information. Then report to the police with evidence
