Tencent looking to buy Ubisoft possibly?

Ubisoft stock price jumped 35% after speculation that Tencent may be in discussions to buy Ubisoft (hopefully for IP rights and not to continue developing their current trash)
 
If they did they'd be doing it for the IP and gutting the studio.

Which could be a good thing at this point. As it's a French company though I suspect it's sale would be blocked to Tencent.
 
Division 2 is still one of the greatest games I've ever played. Sadly don't think I'll ever see a Div 3 done justice, not after what they tried to do with Heartland.
The Division games were brilliant but even more than that, the Anno games, particularly Anno 1800 are utterly utterly superb games. Despite all the backlash people give Ubisoft, they did bring us some top top titles like Anno 1800, which is possibly the finest example of its genre that theres ever been.

Anno 117 Pax Romana is coming out next year. The Blue Byte developers are on the case again.
