Terminal Services 2008

Just in the process of looking at 2008 Terminal Services at the moment, so would be interested to hear about peoples licensing and successes too!

I've looked at it, only explored the remote app style functionality at present, it would suit our needs for sharing a management app which is a pain to install. It's not bad. I have to say I wasn't exactly blown away by the performance on 2008 server (running on quad 3.0 Xeon with 8GB RAM and 8x 72GB 15k drives), iSCSI performance is better though...

Got it installed on a test server to play around with it, only managed to get Wordpad to bu pushed out, but works ok so far, and looks less complicated than Citrix. Whether it is better than Citrix is another thing...

I bet Citrix were really pleased to find the new featureset in 2008 TS.
Microsoft, of course, still recommend Citrix for Enterprise solutions ;)

We have seen Windows RDS at our place. I set it up a while back. We have the remote login for our few staff who need to access externally but the rest log in via thin clients when on site. Seems to work nicely if I'm honest. Not ran into many problems.

Oldest thread I have seen revived is over 10 years...

Do you know what I had no idea that this thread was so old lol. I must have been searching the forum for something and then replied to this thread thinking it was recent!
