Terminal Services printing

Hi,

We use all-in-one printers via Terminal Services and a VPN. For this to work the drivers normally have to be installed on Windows Server 2003.

Does anyone know of another way around this without having to install 2003 print drivers? I am looking for a new all-in-one but most do not provide 2003 drivers and/or the company do not know if it will work!

Use a HP Officejet 7680 but looking for something smaller.

Any ideas?

How are you going to print to a printer when you don't have the drivers installed?

All the TS sessions run on the 2003 server so that's where the printer needs to be installed.

Sorry didn't explain myself very well.

Most All-in-one printers do not produce 2003 drivers and obviously XP drivers do not work on the server. Occassionaly though you can use other models drivers as a universal driver.

The HP 7680 has 2003 drivers but I am looking for a a smaller all-in-one. Unfotunately most support desks do not have a clue if it will work.

Looking at a Canon Pixma MP640 or MX860 but Canon have no idea if it will work via a Terminal Server!

Looking for a work around or a printer that will work.
