I have had it suggested to me that using the dodge tool on the keyboard might improve the shot, but I have no idea how to use the dodge tool yet(!). I will play around a bit more in a minute, but wished to get the initial thoughts of the general Photography population.

I tried it in B&W but I felt it looked better just desaturated a touch. I might turn this into a WIP thread and post a few different versions, if enough people are willing to comment!

As ever, any thoughts are much appreciated :)

Treat the Dodge tool as a normal paint brush and understsand its effects is to lift off layers of highlights to make them more visable to the eye. Its best to do this lightly and with little flow. The Burn tool does the exact negative of this. Scores in more shadows.

Its clearly a fake.....

the desk is far too tidy! :)

I like it though I agree with SleepyD about turning it into a hacker terminal!

Its good except for two things:

1. You should have OcUK on the desktop ;)

2. the TFT looks odd with only the bottom part of the fram being light. Looks kidna weird somehow.

2:30? Is it really? :P

Yes it does actually, off to the dentist next week :p

I like the shot, clean and smooth with a pleasing tone but there are a couple of distractions. The speaker wire, the lamp intrudes slightly into the monitor and there is something just behind the lamp base. In my limited newbie knowledge I know it's possible to edit most of these distractions out...
