Terminating power in the garden - consumer unit / housing question

Hi all

I've got a couple of runs of armoured cable running through the garden and now is the time to terminate them. Below is a rough sketch that shows the current state.

I need to select a consumer unit and/or appropriate housing for (2) on the diagram. This will be mounted to a brick wall and will be exposed to the elements. It will most likely be mounted under a shelf/table, so will need to be secure from children's fingers etc. To cover future use cases (4,5) CU will most likely need to be 4 output. Any recommendations? I've gone through TLC's website etc and the best i've come up with so far is a box within a box, which just feels a bit clunky, but perhaps it's the right way to do it.

Also any recommendations on solving the sockets problem in the greenhouse would be appreciated. Obviously it's a humid/damp environment, so external standard sockets are needed, but also conscious about whether or not it's appropriate to go straight in with armoured into this type of socket.

Thanks

it.

Are you aware that to be properly 100% above board you either need to get this work done by an electrician registered with a competent persons scheme or you need to notify you local buildings control.

Box within a box is definitely the way to go. A good steel waterproof outer box ( that is not only waterproof but offers good impact protection ) then a garage consumer unit inside. Yes you can go from armoured to sockets, you just need the right boxes. Many garages used to be done this way, they would not be terminated with a consumer unit, they would just be terminated with fused socket that was fitted with the right cable gland for the armoured cable. The glands cost about £3 each.
