hello all, over the course of the next few days/weeks im going to be modding terraria with hd pngs and creating my own texture and loading them in game with terraria png loader and hopefully at the end i will have a complete hd terraria.
cannot wait see u guys soon.

ok so first of all the pngloader which you can download here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24414601/Terraria/TerrariaPngLoader/TerrariaPngLoader.zip

once you download it you must extract its contents to the main terraria directory which should be C:/windows/programfiles(86x)/steam/steamapps/common/terraria
depending on where you have steam installed
scaled.php

once you have done that you wil need to create a folder inside the custom content folder that you have just installed, name that folder suitable for what images you will be putting in there, for example sprites. then inside that folder create another one called images, this is where you pngs are going to be.
scaled.php

after you have done that, load the pngloader check the tick box's and save and quit then add it to your steam profile :P and launch from steam
scaled.php

i will be adding to this with new textures and downloads.

update

now i shall show you how to make your own textures.
first download the xnb to png program http://localhostr.com/download/ucxr1ZD/XNB To PNG Converter.zip
then go to your terraria directory, then content/images and copy the whole contents of the folder and paste it in the input folder which you have just extracted.
run the program and then you should have png's in the output folder and should be good to edit
