Hi

Ive just purchased the above TV card as mentioned in the subject. Installation was fine and the the software installed easily with windows saying the device is working ok... However when I scan for channels it picks up nothing, no static, no radio, absolutely nothing... Have tried a few times and played around with the settings but am at a loss.

Terratec customer support isn't great (no manual either!) and I haven't found any suggestions to what I might be doing wrong. Any ideas? Is there anything I could test? Even if reception is poor in my area (it isn't) I should be able to pick up something right?

Are you able to pick up the DVB-T signal with another devices, maybe you don't have very good reception?

How are you feeding the card, DVB-T requires a pretty good signal to work properly and doesn't tend to like splitter/passthroughs.

What software are you using? If it is the bundled version on the non-MCE version then a. it needs to be patched and b. its still buggy when patched.

Also the original drivers are have problems with UK freeview channels, update to the 255 drivers.

Other than that the most likely issue is the signal as headrat says.

What should I use to verify if the card is cable of reciving a digital signal? Would an old console such as a Dreamcast do? If I can get it to recieve any sort of input then I can narrow it down to a signal problem.

No it's a DVB-T card not a "video capture card", plugging a video source into it isn't going to do a thing!

Have you ever used a DVB-T received in the house before, do you know if you are in a DVB-T area and that your house had an airiel able to pickup the DVB-T signal?
