Hi guys,

I am getting terrible interference form both my front and back panel audio connectors. You can hear disk loading activity and it is incredibly annoying if you are trying to listen to pretty much anything, particularly through headphones! Is there an easy way I can fix this?

Thanks guys! ;)

- keep modem/router away from computer tower
- keep subwoofers (if any) away from computer tower
- keep phones away from computer tower
- keep any EMI emitting devices away from computer tower

It's a massive feature of onboard sound, which I presume you have. I also get this, and am in desperate need of a new sound card (and a new amp grrr).

That's much more helpful ;)

The thing that's weird is, it didn't do this until I changed my PSU. I guess I will just have to do a better job of seperating the audio from the HDD SATA cables etc, because most of the intference seems to be HDD activity

Thanks

On my last machine I was using a Sound Blaster Audigy and there didn't seem to be much interference. Also, the fact that I have absolutely rubbish quality speaker cable probably doesn't help :D

The question I need answered is, would it be worth my while stripping all the internal wires and trying to seperate it as best I can?

You're right, I am using onboard sound

Thanks ;)
