Interleaved Path HEC Error 0 0

On the standard O2 LLU package... I'm about 2.4km straight line from the exchange according to samknows.
Have checked the internal wiring following guides, have tried the master socket and have a BT iPlate which made no difference.

Just wondering if there is anything me or O2 can do to improve speeds?
Thanks

With an attenuation that high those line stats are actually great. You may be 2.4km from your exchange in a straight line but attenuation like that suggests your line's physical cable length is at least double that.

In short no, nothing can be done.

Move closer to an exchange :P

Seriously tho, you have downstream losses of 60dB. That's the problem, but a 2.4Km straight line path is likely to be much more. I was 1.6Km straight line with a 4.56Km actual line. I had 54dB loss on that and I ended up with 3.5Mb/s.

It sounds like you've done all the sensible things, only thing left is to try different routers that are known to work well on long lines.

Blah... I guess having a stable connection on this line is already a miracle!

The 3com router is pretty good already IMO as I've tried several other brands before (Netgear, Belkin, O2) and they just keep dropping connection and losing sync.

But thanks for the input anyway

It looks like there's some kind of fault. There's no way your upstream attenuation should be 60dB.
Does your voice service work fine?

77 and 60db!!! Your lucky to get a connection!

One of my mates just gets 1.1meg down and 0.35 up of a 65db line!!
