Sods law that so much falls in one month, anyone else had similar?

Inspection 2 - £215
MOT - £40 + £60 for repairs
Tax - £240 odd
2 front tyres - £305 (ultrac sessantas have gone up in price? scene tax?)
front and rear brake pads (~£150)
another injector has gone (looking at around £350 to sort)

Ok so nothing major in itself, but still, tax/mot/insp2 at same time! nightmare :/

I dont even want to think about my turbo, 132k miles now, im looking at any more miles as a bonus lol

what size are your fronts? :s i just paid £225 delivered for 2x 255/35/18 sessantas for my rears

same as yours i would expect, 225/40/18's.
admittedly i didnt look too much as camskill are normally a good price and i NEEDED tyres delivered ASAP.
£225 is about what i paid for my rears about 6 months ago!

These BMWs are great. I MUST POSSESS ONE NOW!

For the money you've wasted fixing your car you could have bought a Fiesta like mine. Kicking yourself now aren't you?

nothing really out of the ordinary tbh. not my fault you have a cheap ass car :p

what the hell?

from email confirmation:

2 of 2554018YVREDR99XL.SESSANTA[2] VREDESTEIN TYRES / CAR / VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SESSANTA - 255/40R18 99Y XL TL Total Price £308.00

99Y instead of 92Y? Whats the difference?
I'll be on the phone first thing in the morning!

Oh wait, major **** up!! i've ordered 255's!!!
muppet, definitely on the phone in the morning lol

me posting my stupidity here has saved me some money. muppet!

yeah, must be an uncommon size as well as the normal rears are 255/35/18s and they are currently £118!

spot the idiot
<------

Thanks rG-Tom :]

Yeah, would have been a bit wee'd off when i took them to the garage to realise that they are rubbish!
What a cockle hehe

Morba, out of interest - do you use normal Diesel or V-Power Diesel?

As for costs, I had to pay for M3 insurance - so a pretty bad month :p

Normal diesel for me, unless vpower was going to be significantly better i cba with the cost.
im getting 33.5mpg average (not been reset in ages now) so a couple mpg extra wont make much difference!

oh, acceptable insurance expense though imo :p

talking of insurance, i've been driving without any since april!! stupid insurance company didnt roll the insurance over after i called them and got it cheaper from them.
they said if i would have had an accident they would have covered it though, as it was their mistake!
not good :(

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Month got worse :(

So, 2 new sessanta's on the front, drive 45 miles home, pull on to drive and get out of the car 'HIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS'
What on earth? Coming from the back!
Pull a 2" screw out of the rear tyre, was almost all the way in :(
Bugger :(

Where abouts on the tread? I just found one on my car, centre of tyre, should only cost £5-10 to repair.

About an inch in from the edge. it was half hanging out, and air was gushing out.
the screw went in right in groove, so couldnt block it up to leave to be repaired.
might get away with getting it off and repairing, but tbh i'd rather take the safe option and get a new tyre.

Skree - not one of the new ones, though i would prefer that it was, the other tyre on the rear has 10k or so on it.

yeah but TomO, most of your costs are from enjoying the car (and good job as well hehe) :p

yeah i know, i put that as at first that was the only thing that i noticed was different... then i realised it was because it was the wrong tyre completely :p
