Hey,
I'm on my second Acer transformer after my first one died after about 2 years and now this one is playing up too. The socket where the kettle lead connects doesn't seem to work any more and with some wiggling you can hear arcing. So is it safe to remove the kettle lead adapter and connect a cable directly onto the transformer? Or am I going to kill myself in the process
Thanks
Edit:
Opened it up, decided it was near impossible to fix it so it's now in the bin!
Do you guys buy "official" power adapters or do you tend to buy the cheapest, regardless of make etc?
