Is there anyone watching this tonight? I am looking forward to it in a messed up way but might not be able to get to the cinema to see it so will probably watch on streaming.
Yeah they said that about the bedroom scene in the second one but it was a bit silly.. They are pretty silly gory movies and the Art character is fantastic. I also remember articles stating that it was that bad people were leaving and being sick. I am sure they will start popping up soon.
I feel this has gone the same way of Hostel / Human Centipede now where it's just trying to up the 'shock' factor without adding anything new this time around.
Surprised it got a cinema release in the UK unless the streaming version has more in it, weakest one of the trilogy for me.
I like my horror films, but never really liked any of the characters in the Terrifier (full length) films. But thought it was worth a punt on Halloween, maybe a cinema crowd might make it more fun. Unfortunately it was a small crowd and apart from a few choice moments, quiet.
For me, given the expectation and build up I didn't think it was particularly shocking. I was frequently thinking that taken out of context, describing certain scenes sound horrific but the execution was over in a flash. I guess it's the situation if you don't shy away from showing everything and don't cut away - it's sensational but not really any build up of terror. Not really that kind of film anyway. Personally.
Probably works better for viewers less desensitised than me
Kind of spoilers... I think it's because I don't enjoy Art's character enough, but once you've seen people getting hacked with chainsaws and doing that kind of torture with rats before in other films, I find it just a goofy meh. Fine as the original short film, but I also have zero interest in the wider story and main protagonist(s).
