Well this isn't looking good. Especially when i'm going their in March

At least four people have been killed and more than 30 people injured in a series of blasts targeting tourist resorts in Thailand.

A wave of bombings were carried out in four main locations, with witnesses reporting at the site of one attack the devices had been hidden in plant pots.

They are believed to have been detonated remotely using mobile phones.

Investigators found ball-bearings at the scene which they think were put in the bombs to cause maximum injury.

Where are you getting 'terrorist' from? Even the DM is saying "At least 10 foreign tourists have been injured in the strikes, which are not thought to be terror related"

"Thai officials have said they believe the attacks were carried out locally and are not terror related. There is some suggestion they were launched by the opponents of the ruling junta, which recently bolstered its military power."

It's sad to admit that acts of terror are now a daily thing. World Wars were bad enough but at least you knew where the bullets were coming from. Today, the bullets could come from anywhere.

Daily Mail headline: TERROR IN THAILAND.

Might not be jihad related but bombs usually are terror related.

People setting off bombs in tourist locations = Terrorists. It doesn't matter if there ISIS or Opponents of the ruling Junta.

Indeed. Arguing against the obvious is simply futile. I think Mags needs to step back and contemplate.

Ah, I see. I misinterpreted the OP to being specific to a certain type of terrorist attack which it does not appear to be.

This'll slowly sink into the GD abyss until linked with ISIS or euro-muslamic terrorism.

Thailand has an existing muslim insurgency for over a decade that is responsible for thousands of deaths. There is a fair chance it was them; although they haven't targeted tourists before.

Well it was coming, surprised Pattaya hasn't been targeted yet.. guess it's only a matter of time, walking Street would be an obvious target.
Usually keep this attacks down south and rarely to do with tourists :(

Indo should be fine.
The last attack was a calamity of an outpouring of 'we are not afraid' messages mocking ISIS from the Indonesian people.
Where you headed?

4 days in ubud, then 6 days at Komodo National Park, then back to Sanur for 6 days.

Not too worried tbh, have always felt safer in SEA than Europe, was just shocked to see an attack in a tourist area in Thailand.
