Seems unlikely to be honest, the personal supercomputer is nothing new in concept, there are plenty of systems out there right now. This one does look quite cheap but there are plenty potential issues, not least that in this world of fast network connections and massive on demand computing resource from the likes of sun grid, why shell out for a personal supercomputer?
I've done a little work running financial models on small 'supercomputer' clusters and this in theory would be good for doing that but I could do the same on Sun Grid and just pay for the processor time used as I go rather than shelling out £10k+ for a personal box. Chances are Sun would get me results faster too as they have a massive cluster to run jobs on.
Nice to see nVidia coming up with something in the market and I suspect we'll see the benefits elsewhere (when is the nVidia CPU coming...) but I doubt it'll be a major commercial success.
