Tesla Power Wall - Whos' got one and what do you think of it?

I'm looking into getting a Tesla Power Wall (northern ireland so might not even be an option due to lack of sun) but I'm looking to get thoughts from anyone who is an owner of one. What do you think of it? is it going to pay for itself? Was it expensive to get installed etc?

You don't necessarily need solar - could always charge it on a cheap off peak night rate.

They are seriously expensive for what you actually get, which is ultimately a box with a certain capacity of batteries in it.

I’ve got one with a solar install, primarily to get access to the Tesla Energy Plan which pays out 11.7p on export and only costs 11.7p import all day. If you can’t get access to that plan then really it’s just like any other battery!

Cost about £9k and you’ll probably be waiting nearly a year now for stock unless you get lucky.
