Took the plunge on one of the awesome looking Infinity Tesseract systems as i'd been craving a watercooled setup for quite some time!

Really looking forward to seeing how it looks and runs. Will have to pick up some games to help me test it. Was just wondering what kind of programs / tests people run initially on a new setup? I've checked the threads about systems checking and programs like CPU-Z but was just wondering if anyone has any rituals or routines they use on new systems?

Or is it just diving straight into the latest FPS on max resolution and graphics? :D

Will have to book a few days off work next week for delivery and "testing"

More exciting than xmas! will just have to finish building my fallout shelter to hide from my girlfriend when she gets back from work

Hah, I'm excited to see what they manage to get out of it! was more wondering what people do as standard on their machines like anti-virus or benchmarking software when they've got everything set up and are ready to go!

Will definitely be checking out some of the programs you listed but yeah, don't think i'll need to stress-test it as OC do that in-house.

Will have to fire up solitaire when i get it and make sure there's no framerate issues

Indeed Jedit,

The spinosaur has served me well for the past 2 1/2 years but it's getting to it's limit now even with pushing the overclock a bit more and sorting out the cooling. I've built a few systems in the past but probably similar to yourself they've only been aircooled ones and built in pretty forgiving cases (Antec 800 was the last one i used).

Been doing well recently and wanted a real top of the range system and watercooling but don't have the time to dabble with it myself just yet! Interested to see what difference the watercooling makes and how much it can be tinkered with.

You can run 3D mark, heaven bench or literally go balls deep on crysis/battlefield at max res :p

Hah, that's the route i'm thinking of going down NathWraith, will have to get a few games ordered to push the boat out. Looking forward to seeing what you guys manage to get out of it and if it turns up with a random copy of BF4 buried in a mountain of Haribo then i'm sure i could put it to good use! :D

mmmmm yummy...my favourite system...

I've even improved the watercooling configuration since I built the test system so this is going to be very cool indeed

Hah, even more excited now. GF's going to think i've had a stroke when she comes home to find me drooling over the new system. She thinks i'm mad with all the stuff i tinker with at home anyway although that soon changes when she wants to watch Downton Abbey on on the projector in the bedroom

ScottiB, Any chance of a beer bottle sized hole cut in the case so i can just use it as a combo fridge and never have to leave my room at all? ;)

It's all relative, I did the same as you and priced it up. Checked a few other sites about waterclocking fixtures and fittings etc and then factored in the fact that you're getting a warranty on every part of the system, getting a custom loop and overclocking job assembled and implemented by a team including one of the world's best overclockers, Coupled with hectic work schedules etc then i'm more than happy over the purchase. Work hard play hard i guess!

ScottiB's going to do a build log for it i think so people should be able to get a look at how it goes. Better treat the GF this weekend before this beast turns up next week and she gets packed off on a shopping trip with her friends for 48hours ;)
