Test Drive Unlimited FPS Spikes/stutters?

Hey guys.

I play TDU on high settings, HDR enabled and 4X AA. (E4600, 2GB Ram, 3870)

When driving at a high speed/driving through cities I tend to notice a lot of stutters. The game will only stutter for a split second but it's very noticeable.

I've done a bit of Googling and I can see some other people are having this problem but I didn't come across any fixes.

I don't know if they are actually FPS spikes or just general loading stutters.

Any one else here having this problem?

Any advice/information is appreciated.

I have the game too. I find that going through the cities means the card has to do more work thereby the framerate slows down.

It happens to me too - yeah fps spikes.

Any chance you could let me know what settings you run the game on?

yeah of course - I have it at full quality settings at 1280x1024.

CCC checked on full quality settings etc. and full settings on the video section in the game too - of course CCC will override some of the settings but they go on full measure anyway lol.
