Whats the best car to do the race in?
I started it in a enzo, but it was clear to see it wasn't gonna happen!

dont use a car! your making that trial so much harder by using one. Try an A class bike (i used the zx10r stage 3) and the challenge becomes all easy. Did it in 50mins and a bit using a bike. For the island tour, where there is no traffic use your fastest and most powerful car, basically the you feel most comfortable with. I used the enzo stage 3.

I used the zx10r (stage 3) for both
 
Is it wrong I did it in 55 in my Zonda?

I hit numerous cars, got pulled over twice and thought I wouldn't do it but did. :p

Times when you think you need to restart, just stick at it and see how you do.

PS. Still can't connect again. -_-

now if money is still needed (and if your anything like me it is), dont repeat that challenege over and over as a lot of guides say. Instead, go to the bottom rightish of the map and find a speed challenge called either "180 mph in heavy traffic" or "180 mph downtown". You get 70 and 75k respectively and can do the challenge in under 20 secs using a saleen s7 stage 3. Thats my tip of the day and time to sleep now! sweet dreams all.
 
Manual Transmission + Quick fingers + actually using the brakes + abusing engine braking = car dodging fun. :p

Was cruising around with someone the other week and it was weird how often he was hitting cars.

The 180mph downtown challenge is a group B race only so you can't use the saleen. However a stage 3 tuned Ford GT or Stage 3 tuned XJ220 will do it easily.
 
I assume you need to level up to top to get that challenge ... just did the miliionare run and only got silver, hope I dont have to get gold to level up cos I aint doing that again :(

Also, car delivery jobs seem to have dried up, I have done a few, but lots more according to the list of whats been done, but no matter that I have done a variety of other challenges to see if they open one up, but no go ?

I stuck at it as well, didn't think I was going to do it but the fact the second half of the race is virtually entirely on four lane motorways means you can make up for lost time. Did it with 13 seconds to spare.

You have to find the car delivery mission. When you drive past them they will appear on your map.

I think someone posted a list of some of the map squares that have car delivery misson in them.

Just start driving every road in the game. You get and achievement and a free house for doing it anyway. Takes a while mind you especially the bit around the stadium (There are so many on - off ramps :eek: )

If you are expert level then you can do one race which will at least net you 15k a pop for 20 seconds work. Its 170mph in heavy traffic or something like that. Its near the bottom in the middle to the right of the main city bit.
 
I did the island Tour race last night for the first time in my Stage 3 McLaren F1 LM.

An excelent race, I enjoyed every moment and finished in about 47 minutes. I span out a few times as the McLaren is so slidey when accelerating, but I managed to beat the Ai by nearly 2 minutes in the end thanks to many long 230mph straights :D

EDIT: As for finding every road, I have been working on this for ages, is there anyw ay to check my percentage of roads found? It is becoming ridiculously tiresome.

Yes, in somewhere in the achievements section. Find the relevant acheivement and it will be X/100, this being the percentage of roads you have been on.

The tour of island is easy if you have a fast car or motorbike and the millionaires challenge is harder because of all the traffic :mad: a fast bike is a good choice for that on , i managed it with 18 seconds to go :D .
