Hi

I have just purchased TDU. I have a good enough spec to run it but after it gets past that 'checking dvd' bit it just crashed and wanted to send one of those useless reports to Microshaft.

Currenting running E6600. 2Gb ram 7600GT all running standard with latest drivers. Windows XP with Sp3 all ligit

Have searched the forum but may have missed something. All suggestions appreciated.

Cheers;)

Cant really help you, all i can say is that i was running it fine with 7600gt and p4 with 1gb ram, xp sp2. After i got 8800gt it started crashing so searched forums to find out that it was having issues with drivers.

Try older drivers.

Thanks for reply. I have tried older drivers and the newest. You dont happen to remember which drivers you used with the 7600?

Cheers

sry mate, dont remember, played it since last may to december on 7600gt so try any from that time :)

hope u'll get it working

I used to play TDU on a 7600gt. IIRC it would fall over at the opening video if I set the res to anything over 800x600.

Thanks for all the help so far. I have tried 800x800 and with and without the patch. I think there is a conflict in my system so i feel a format may be due soon. I will then try it on a clean system and see what happens. Keep the suggestions coming in the mean time.

Cheers:(

A format might help you. :) Even if it doesn't fix it then we can be more sure its the graphics card or something. Is TDU the only game that crashes? Just wondering if its a graphics card problem in general or something conflicting with TDU.

Have you tried the absolute oldest drivers for the 7600?

Have tried 4 or 5 different drivers. TDU seems to be the only one giving problems COD4 runs sweet as a nut for example. Most annoying

There was a known problem with the game not starting if you have a controller (wheel, pad etc) plugged in at game startup but I think that was a blackscreen.
Try turning off your sound devices' hardware acceleration and see if it starts up then.
