I just bought Test Drive Unlimited as I fancied a driving game for the PC. Quite impressed so far, looks really nice and I like the free roaming feel to the game.

Anyway, I select my character, buy a house and a car and then proceed to my first race. But when I get into the menu to start nothing happens! It's almost like it's just hanging - has anyone else had this problem and if so then is there a fix?

have you pressed Start at the bottom right side of the screen when in (Race menu)?

Well I try to but the mouse wont click on anything - I have tried pressing all keys and joypab buttons but literally the only thing that works is 'esc' to bring up the options menu!

odd :o try resetting your default controls n try again? i've been having fun with my 360 pad for 4 days now ... starting to get annoyed with it :/

I'm not bothered about playing online and hate having to swap discs so I'm using a No-CD fix. Could this have something to do with it?

They are really bad! They can crash the pc at any time, take it off and use the cd

they arent always bad....they can also fix games too

Agreed, sorted out a stuttering problem I had with PES6 when I used the original CD.

With regards to TDU, I would try it with the CD as I am sure that a No CD may cause this problem.

anyone use the 360 windows pad for this game? if so can anyone take a screenshot of the control setup?

if it is crashing on the loading/saving screen, press escape to pause, got to quit, and then load the game up again, It worked for me (after i uninstalled it and reloaded save.ggggrrrrr) its just another of TDU's wonderful faults lol

360 pad is great for the game, I have the shoulder buttons as accel and brake, just loading it up to take a screen grab for you now :)...bare with me

It seems to pick up the shoulder buttons as stick 1...bizarre....works tho lol

I know the feeling. :(

I tried to install them a while ago but messed it up and the only way I can think of to fix the mess is to reinstall Windows. :o A mate of mine worked out how to do it but he's left Uni now and will have forgotten anyway.
