Has anyone got any info on the PC version of TDU?

All the pre-order dates that ive seen say it will be released 02/2007 , but the uk atari site says october 2006.

I really want this game after reading the thread about the xbox360 version and seeing some ingame trailors. I think the PC version could be brilliant using a xbox 360 controller or a usb steering wheel.

I've heard the game will be using ingame advertisement's (although they wont be out of place) , this is probably to pay for the server's etc.

Will be interesting to see the graphics as its the first port (is it?) from a next-gen console.

Info is really scarce , so if anyone knows more then i do then please enlighten me :D .

You could do worse than looking at the rather large thread on this game in the console section if you are interested in it.

I know what the game is 'about', but i was looking for more PC specific stuff, like will parts of the game be moddable, will you be able to host your own servers and is a demo going to be released . That sort of stuff.

I like the idea of having the free roaming over all that space, but the description of multiplayer on the X360 made it seem like a wasted oppurtunity - iirc (which I probably don't) you're matched with ~6 people who you can see on the road and no-one else. I was hoping for something a bit more mm than that. Hoping the pc version might be diifferent really.

From a couple of hours of playing it your all there but only see those people closest to you, if you go to the full map it'll show you all players in a wider area and help you find your mates.

I agree though I was hoping for far more visible at a time
