Test for both cores?

Is there a programme that could tell me if both of the cores on my e6300 are present and both working properly?

Downloaded Orthos from that link, It just says "using processor 1" How do I tell it to test both?

problem

look at your other post where i spook about acpi multiprocesor pc, its probabl not your cpu, when did you install windows, before geting the cpu, or at the same time as installing the cpu, or after

I don't think it is the CPU, the 945 Wasn't performing properly either that I had before (just for two days, didn't do these tests)

I have just used the same hard drive that I had in my old setup (xp2600) onto this new rig, with no format or anything like that.

Why, could that be the problem?

Cheers Nipple ( ) You've been really helpful. I think that I'll buy a new SATA HDD tonight, I need one anyway as I'm on IDE. I'll then go for a fresh window's install and see what happens.

Unless someone tells me this won't make a difference, as this will save me a lot of time and a headache!!
