what do you guys do to test your GFX OC is stable?
i have been upping the core clock in stages and running 3dmark 11 each time, but this isnt really enough is it?

not sure how this would work for stability, but you could definitly check graphics temperatures with furmark

there is probably a 'check stability' function in furmark somewhere, but ive only tried the program twice, so i dont really know how to use all its special features yet

you mean futuremark? as in 3dmark 11 or another app? temps are good, and scores are going up nicely, no pixalating or tearing or anything abnormal, but i dont think its enough.
i did use kombustor before, but i cant get it to work think i might need a newer version.

yep furmark here also

its like a furry donut

also looking for artifacts ingame

I play games and run a few benchmarks, i avoid furmark. Benchmarks ive found to be pretty good are dirt 2 and lost planet 2, theese 2 will stress your gpu pretty well, lp2 is very good for gpu memory oc's, on my sli 470's at stock memory it uses 1205mb of my available gpu ram on max settings.

OCCT has an error test mode, but it stresses the hell out of your card and I don't like using it, especially when OC'd and it's stressing it a lot more than any game will. My card will reach higher temps in a few mins using this than it will during a few hours of gaming

to get kombuster to work i had to download directx (thought it would have been part of the drivers but still) and now my games have tearing (no OC) so am proper annoyed :( any ideas?
