...and all of a sudden im driving as if it was my 1st lesson, my turn in the road was **** to say the least and nearly got swiped by a jeep on a roundabout, my fault aswell :( and afterwards lost a lot of focus, too deep in corners, poor clutch control, not quite stalling area but not far off :(

im really hoping this was a one off as its starting to mess me about, guess ill find out on thursday when i have another lesson

It was a one off.

Everybody has an off lesson where they just do everything 1/2 heartedly and cannot clear their head of the previous mistake.

Best of luck with the test!

Dont worry about it, I was the same last week, I had a really rubbish lesson, i hadnt had one for about 10 days, my clutch control was really really poor! I almost stalled on plenty of locations. I was getting worried about it to be honest as my test is only 8 days away now.
Thankfully I had another lesson yesterday and that went REALLY well! I did every manouvre you can perfectly, as long as I drive like that on my test I should pass with only a couple of minors my instructor said :) He should know, being in the game for 35 years. I'm not going to fall into the trap of getting confident about it though, I will just drive my best on the morning and try and forget how nervous I am and get on with it.

Good luck for your test :)

I remember when I passed my test (3rd I might add) I had one lesson a week before the test. 2nd test was the end of October and this test was 22nd December.

When I passed its because I just said to myself I'd go out and drive, and stopped thinking of it as a test. As a result I didn't make stupid mistakes.

Best of British to you :)

todays lesson couldnt have gone better, bar a few annoying pedestrians and being a bit over cautious...back to just ironing out my hesitating again, but still happy again and no longer as nervous about my ever approaching test
