Right, I have well over 30 hours in a car now. Have stopped again due to being put off (once more). I used to have a phobia of driving, but think I am over it now.

I recently took some lessons from my gf in her corsa, love that car, so easy to drive! My old dear has agreed to put me on a intense course. As to be honest, she still hates the idea of me out on my Ducati lol. So, what options have I got?

Should I do 5 days or 3? Can I do it in my own car? If so, I am tempted to buy a wee corsa to do it in.

Also, should I do my theory beforehand?

What stage are you at with your driving at the moment? What do you have the most difficulty with?

Do your theory first.

Also, my advice would be not to do an intensive course.

They dont have time to teach you what you need to know.

He's been riding on the road on a sportsbike for several years.
Also, poppycock. I finished my entire training on my bike in four days, having never ridden on the road previously. I am currently still alive, three years later.

What experience do you have of intensive courses? Is it none?

Agreed. The OP also has 30hours in a car already, he isn't some 17 year old wanting to get behind the wheel asap, he is an adult with loads of driving and riding experience.

intensive courses inherantly have lower pass rates (although they probably wont admit to this), as your trying to cram in loads of info.
just becasue the OP has loads of experiance on a bike, and 30hrs in car does not mean it is good, or even correct experience he has had.

best advise, if you do want to do a crash course, is first do an assesment lesson with a crash course instructor, and see if a crash couse will suit your needs/ability.

to find a decent one you could go to your local test center, and ask an examiner who they would recomend, if any. from my conversations with examiners they dont have a good opinion of them. (that should say a lot about them)
but they still might reccomend one to you, or even offer some advise regarding them.
